Pavlína Čambalová studied precious stone cutting and engraving at the Secon-dary Decorative Arts School in Turnov, then artistic glass at the Glassmaking Professional College in Nový Bor. In her work, she specializes in the technique of engraving, since 2011 she has been a member of the prestigious “Guild of Glass Engravers.” She collaborated with the world-famous glass engraver Jiří Harcuba. After his death, she has been heading the Jiří Harcuba School of Engraving. Since 2008, she has been working as an engraver in the Lobmeyr glassmaking company. In her work, she focuses on the experimental use of the technique of glass engraving, which she combines with other glassmaking methods. Her work is distinguished by fragility, feminine poetry and playfulness.
The work on offer, Forest, is humorously complemented with medallions with engraved yoga asanas, where the dominant pose is called the Tree pose. Little felt balls evoke moss with heather.
